Hey, this one is important.
Silicone lubricant degrades silicone toys. If there is a toy involved, use a water-based lubricant instead. This is the one mistake on this site that costs you something you already own.
Where this one comes in.
Lubricant, and more of it than you expect. Silicone or water-based, which is the one choice on this site with real consequences.
- Use more than feels sensible, and top it up before you think you need to.
- Reapply from the outside rather than trying to add it halfway through.
- Check the base against anything else in the room: silicone lubricant and silicone toys do not mix.
- Water-based dries rather than runs out. A little water brings it back.

Before you order
- Read the label on the bottle. It carries the full ingredient list and the manufacturer's own directions, and that is the version that counts.
- Patch-test on the inside of a wrist if your skin reacts easily, and stop at the first sign of irritation.
- Oil-based lubricants are a third category and are not sold here. They break latex condoms.
- Pain means stop, not push. Nothing on this site is designed to talk you past it.
